Schedule for 2026 Conference

Friday

5:00PM -9:00PM

Vendor Fair -  come shop the night away with a wide variety of home based vendors. From homemade goods, to jewelry, clothing, wellness products, books, and more. There will be something for everyone. 

6:00PM

AI with Erin - We've welcomed Alexa and Google into our homes, and Siri has been around forever. What is AI, is it really helpful or safe? Join us for a practical, eye‑opening look at the ins and outs of AI and what it means for you.

WIBJ Trivia! - Join us for a fun, fast‑paced trivia game! Whether you’re a pop‑culture pro, an ag‑history buff, or the unofficial expert on all things South Dakota, there’s a question with your name on it.

  • SD Beef Promotion -  SD Cattle Woman Kodi Blotsky and son, Chord, a SD Junior Beef Ambassador, look forward to joining us at Women in Blue Jeans to share the benefits of beef and offering helpful tips and tasty new recipe ideas. Samples will be available following the demonstration! 
  • Transfer of Wealth -  If protecting your family farm and it's legacy is on your to-do list, join Teresa Hart, of Hart Financial Group, as she will help provide tips for growing and transferring your wealth with confidence.

  • Genealogy -  Whether you've got files or boxes of history, or just getting started, Kathy Micheel is excited to join us to show us practical ways of how we can move from research to storytelling your family history whether in print, digitally, or both. Sourdough -  What started out as a mother/daughter venture to learn how to bake bread has turned into a fun little side hustle for our before lunch speaker, Lacey Swenson. Starting with the basics, to now pumping out dozens of loaves each week being sold right outside her front door, Lacey looks to share with us the ins and outs of baking sour dough at home, and stepping out of your comfort zone and starting a small business at home.

  • Music Therapy -  Kiah Gehl of Wonderfully Made Music Therapy to this year’s Women in Blue Jeans Conference. Kiah will share how music therapy works, why it’s such a powerful tool for emotional and physical well‑being, and the meaningful role it can play in the future of rural communities.  
  • Social Media -  Social media is one of the most powerful tools we have in agriculture today and knowing how to use it well matters more than ever. From sharing daily farm life to educating consumers and building meaningful connections, the impact is real. Join Megan Suarez, as we dive into how to use social media with purpose, confidence, and authenticity, no matter your experience level. 

2:30PM - 3:30PM

Closer - Kelly Jo Brandlee -  Kelly Brandlee grew up on a farm near Salem, South Dakota, and has spent most of her life championing agriculture. through corporate work, and starting up their own family farm business, Back Forty Beef and Adventure Farm. A true leader for young women in ag, Kelly will share her stories of persevering to achieve goals.
