2018 Luncheon Speaker

For Katie Pinke, her rural life is a catalyst to engage, enlighten and empower. A fifth generation farm girl, Katie shares reflex tweets, gritty blog posts, weekly columns and mesmerizing North Dakota sunset snapshots from the prairie. She seizes every opportunity to talk about family, rural life, motherhood, career and community, online and offline. After 12-plus years on the marketing fast track, Katie ventured out five years ago on her own as a communications consultant and event speaker in order to be a more at-home wife and mom. In 2016, she was named publisher and general manager of Agweek and works from her rural home. While working with the Agweek team to create a weekly magazine and regional television show, she remains a keynote speaker across North America.

Katie resides in Wishek, North Dakota with her husband, Nathan, and three children. Together they are small business owners and Katie’s family farms a couple hours from them, growing winter wheat, barley, canola, pinto or black beans, soybeans and corn. Katie serves on the local City Council and volunteers her time to a number of community organizations including 4-H, FFA, community foundation and coaching track and field. You can connect with Katie in her weekly Agweek column, on her Pinke Post Facebook page, on Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat @katpinke and read her blog at thepinkepost.com.
